I’m Ankit Gordhandas. I like to create the future I want to exist.

I’m passionate about translating cutting-edge technology into real-world applications that solve meaningful problems.

I grew up in India and then moved to the United States to study Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), graduating in 2010.

After graduating, I started my career applying signal processing techniques to cardiac and neurological data at MIT and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). I then worked at a couple startups before founding Intersect Labs, a Y Combinator-backed machine learning and data analytics company that was later acquired by Zapier.

At Zapier, I co-founded ZapAI—Zapier’s AI lab that eventually became the foundation of the company’s AI practice. I’m now co-founder of Pear Health, which helps physicians use AI to automate Medicare programs.

Outside of work, I’m an avid reader who loves music, learning fun facts, and studying history. I also enjoy modeling in my spare time. On a clear night you will see me help my toddlers find interesting constellations from our backyard.
